Philosophy & Goal

As part of the ministry of Lawson Baptist church, we are following the mission statement and reaching out to children and helping them learn of the love Christ has for all of us. We provide a safe and stimulating educational environment where children will learn to love and be loved by God, meet new friends and become well-prepared for school.

Group Size & Staff

Each class will have a maximum of 20 children. There is one teacher for each class and a floating teacher. This allows teachers to give more individual attention. All our teachers are loving and have experience working with preschoolers. The teachers are all active members of Lawson Baptist Church.

Curriculum

The Little Hands Christian Preschool provides learning in a Christian environment. We are encouraging spiritual growth as well as developing the children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual skills. Our curriculum focuses on these areas:

Creativity—drawing, painting, play-doh, imaginative play

Language—verbal interaction, stories, rhymes, sharing

Music—singing, games, instruments, dancing

Muscle—scissor cutting skills, climbing, riding, balls

Intellectual—science, problem solving, cognitive toys

Social—sharing, cooperation, responsibility

Self-Esteem—respect, being positive, self-confidence

Spirituality—key Bible stories, Christ’s life ministry, Old Testament , Signs and Wonders

Enrollment

We have T/Th classes for ages 3 to 4 and M/W/F classes for pre-K, ages 4 to 5.

We require children to be potty trained unless they have a physical disability.

Hours of Operation

Preschool is in session from September to May. We follow the Lawson Public School District for weather related closings.

T/Th Class hours are 9:00am—11:30am

M/W/F Class hours are 8:30am—11:30am am

Fees and Tuition

A non-refundable fee of $50.00 is charged at the time of registration. This fee reserves your child’s spot for the school year as well as covering the cost of snacks and supplies.

Tuition is:

$95.00 per month—T/Th class

$110.00 per month—M/W/F class

Standards

Our preschool is compliant with the Missouri Department of Health. We are a not-for-profit preschool under the direction of the Lawson Baptist Church.
